What in tarnation was he thinking? and other thoughts…

William Bardwell must be the dumbest man on earth to marry Gloria that fast. I don’t even sense any chemistry between them. This whole thing is so dumb I can’t stand it.

On that subject, I don’t think Gloria can take two steps without stepping into trouble. I’m surprised her sons haven’t turned her in by now.

Paul and Maggie’s discussions are nothing but double-entendres. Can’t these two have a normal conversation about anything without resorting to sexual innuendo?

When the heck will Nick rise from the dead?

I’m not liking Nikki’s new bitchy personality, but she looks so cute in that haircut, I have to forgive her. A little.

Victoria needs to fish or cut bait, as far as JT is concerned. Also, she is beginning to “show”, despite the blousy dress she was wearing on Monday. I wonder how they’ll cover it up? Maybe a long trip to Europe?

Victoria: Mixed Signals??

I’d never feel sorry for Brad, but I came close when Victoria went off to eat dinner with JT right in front of him. Yesterday (today, in the soap’s timeline) she was making out with Brad. WTF?

When will Kevin ever get in trouble for breaking into people’s computers? This hacker should have been in prison several times by now.

Gloria is so transparent when she’s talking to Bardwell. How can he even have the slightest bit of interest in her? Also, who is that guy she’s been hanging around really? There’s something shady about him.

Victor Jr.

It’s nice that Victor forgot about his son until now.  Why is he having so much trouble finding him? You’d think Hope would know. It seems he has turned out pretty badly…maybe Hope was “blind” to his shortcomings. HA!

How old is he now, anyway? I’ve totally lost track of time. Of course, the writers will make him as old/young as they darn well please.

Is Victoria COMPLETELY stupid?

She tells Brad that she trusts him. They make out. What the hell??

That guy is the ultimate sleaze! Maybe the guilt she has over cheating on him with JT recently has overwhelmed her anger over Brad cheating on her with Sharon. Or maybe she’s just an idiot.

Monday’s Episode (5/14/07)

Wasn’t Monday’s episode a tearjerker?? I’d argue it’s the best of the season, and that’s saying a lot. With all the crazy storylines we’ve had to deal with lately, it was nice to see the show get back to good acting and believable drama. I’ve always felt the show was best when it wasn’t trying to be a “soap” (with cheesy storylines involving evil twins or psychopaths disguising themselves with plastic surgery to look like people they’ve never met. Uh-huh…) and instead giving us realistic storylines that we can follow and identify with.  I hope we’ll see more of this, but I have a feeling we’ll be back to the crazy stuff soon enough.
